Letter of Invitation
Applicants requiring an official letter of invitation for the purpose of obtaining a visa or permission to attend the 20SISC may submit the request to the Secretariat. The letter of invitation is not a commitment from the Organiser to provide any kind of financial support, hosting arrangement, nor does it guarantee an entry visa will be issued. The letter will be issued to the requesting delegate only after the registration fee has been paid in full. Expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
The Secretariat may require 2 – 3 weeks to process the request. We recommend that you apply at least 1 month in advance.
Visa Requirements:
- Before you embark on your journey to Singapore for the 20th Singapore International Stroke Conference, it's essential to determine whether you need a visa to enter the country. The visa requirements can vary depending on your nationality.
- To find out whether your country requires a visa for Singapore, please consult your home country's embassy or consulate. Alternatively, you can contact the nearest Singapore embassy or consulate for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Visa Application Timing:
- To ensure a smooth and hassle-free entry into Singapore, we strongly recommend that you initiate your visa application at least 30 days before your intended arrival date. This will provide ample time for processing and potential follow-up requirements.
- In most cases, visa applications submitted in Singapore are processed within three working days, excluding the day of submission. However, it's important to note that some applications may require additional processing time, so it's advisable to plan accordingly. By applying in advance, you can avoid any last-minute complications and ensure your visa is ready when you need it.
Application Consideration:
- Every visa application is assessed on its individual merits, and the decision to approve or deny a visa is made at the discretion of the Singaporean authorities. Factors such as the purpose of your visit and your personal circumstances are taken into consideration.
- It's essential to provide accurate and complete information when applying for your visa. Being transparent and thorough in your application will increase the chances of a successful outcome. If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding your application, don't hesitate to reach out to the appropriate authorities or organizations for guidance.
Passport Requirements:
- To gain entry into Singapore, all travelers are required to possess a passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of their intended entry into the country. This requirement applies to all visitors except those who hold a Singaporean passport.
- Ensure that your passport meets this criterion well in advance of your travel date. Passport renewal can take time, so it's wise to check the expiration date early in your planning process. A valid passport is a fundamental requirement for international travel, so be proactive in ensuring yours complies with Singaporean entry regulations.
